The swiss army knife we know today was invented 1897 by Karl Elsener in Ibach Schwyz Switzerland.
But the original multi tool knife is about 1800 years older and was probably made between AD 200 and AD 300.
It was made out of silver with an iron blade, spon, fork, spike, spatula and a small tooth-pike.
